Book Worm
In the modern world of constant digital distractions, the act of reading a book feels almost revolutionary. Our one third size human skeleton sculpture is lost in the (dying) art of reading. It is a piece that successfully captures the moment of quiet immersion into the magical world of the imagination.
The choice of reading matter is curious. The last poems of the Victorian Evangelical poet and hymnwriter, Frances Ridley Havergal. Are we to question this strange juxtaposition, this marrying of death and the devotional?
