Amongst the items sold by Raven Armoury are bladed articles. The sale of these items is governed by Section 141A of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 as amended by Sections 34 and 35 of the Offensive Weapons Act 2019. These Acts prohibit the sale and delivery of bladed articles to persons under 18.

Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provides a lawful basis for processing where “processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject.”

Raven Armoury processes customer data in order to comply with the legal obligation to sell bladed articles only to those aged over 18.
