    We have produced around two dozen Claymores over the years and these have been a mixture of centre ground (diamond section) blades and also convex (lenticular section) blades.

    Fittings can be bronze, carbon steel or stainless steel and can be blackened, satin, polished or, with carbon steel, patinated.

    You can place an order for a similar sword with a 20% deposit and a waiting time of around six months.  You can also pay in monthly instalments on a flexible payment plan, please contact us for details.

    The Evolution Scimitar is the culmination of years of work in design and mastering. This Limited Edition Sword is being produced with Bronze or Sterling Silver mounts. The Bronze version is available in three finishes: Verdigris, Bronze or Darkened Bronze.  Variations are available, the canvas of colours for patination is vast.

    Every item we produce is handmade and unique, even our Limited Editions. The high carbon spring steel blade is ground from 5/16th” stock (7.5mm). Blades are fully hardened and tempered to a Rockwell hardness of 54-56RC. The scabbard is leather-bound ash.

    Please note: the Sword currently available from stock has darkened bronze mounts.

    I have been forging Scimitars for thirty five years and have made many different designs. This eight-skull scimitar has a long clip with the spine lightly fullered as it meets the clip, similar in design to our Evolution swords. We have made many variations of this sword over the past three decades.

    We have been forging Scimitars for over thirty five years and have made many different designs. The Evolution Collection  is the culmination of years of work in design and mastering. These Evolution Swords have  hollow ground blades and clips, the bevelled spines sweep into a fuller and flow towards the tips. The bronze fittings have an antiqued finish.

    The sword scabbards are open backed, which allows them to closely follow the contours of the blade. When sheathed, the guard fits snugly into the throat of the scabbard.

    This Short Sword is part of our Evolution Collection, the culmination of years of work in design and mastering. The blade and clip are hollow ground, the beveled spine sweeps into a fuller as it flows towards the tip.

    The scabbard is open backed, which allows it to closely follow the contours of the blade. When sheathed, the guard fits snugly into the throat of the scabbard.

    The high carbon spring steel blade is ground from 1/4” stock (7.5mm). Blades are fully hardened and tempered to a Rockwell hardness of 54-56RC.

    This five-skull scimitar has a long clip with the spine lightly fullered as it meets the clip, similar in design to our Evolution swords.

    The blade has a deep hollow grind, with a dark burgundy leather wrap and stitched bound grip, the guard is set with four skulls lost-wax cast in stainless steel and a single larger skull for the pommel.

    This is a recent rendition of our original Leaf-blade Broadsword. I made my first Leaf-blade Broadsword in the early 1990’s. This is one of the only examples we have made with bronze fittings.

    Medieval Sword – Type XIII

    Medieval Gothic Sword – Oakeshott Type XIII – typically this style of sword was in use from the 12th to the 14th Century.

    On this sword the grip is English ash, with a wrap & stitch calf skin bind. The guard and pommel are forged in steel with a blackened, patinated finish. The pommel tapers from base to tip as is often seen on originals. The guard width is 19.5cm (7 11/16″) with the grip length being 14cm (5 1/2″). Blade steel is 80CrV2, hardened and tempered to 55 to 56RC.

    This is a generic 13th Century Raven Armoury Gothic Sword from around the year 2000.  This sword has been fully refurbished and is in mint condition.

    The blade is ground from 5/16th stock spring steel with a relatively broad fuller and a deep hollow grind.

    The grip is English ash, with a wrap and stitch binding in black calf skin.

    The guard and pommel are in carbon steel with a darkened patinated finish.

    This is an Oakeshott Type XVIII Medieval Sword from around the year 2000.  This sword has been fully refurbished and is in mint condition.

    The blade is hollow ground from 1/4″ stock spring steel.   The grip is English ash, with a wrap and stitch leather binding in a chestnut colour. The guard and pommel are in darkened bronze.

    We made the first of these swords as a special commission for Ewart Oakeshott. He believed it to be ‘the very finest medieval sword in existence’ (p37 Records of the Medieval Sword). It is a copy of the A.459, its catalogue number, in The Wallace Collection.

    This is a generic 15C Ottoman sword, the blade styled after an original in the Topkapi Saray Museum.

    The grip is Olive wood, the guard and pommel in steel. All with a distressed, patinated finish.
