Jambiya
A Jambiya is a traditional Arabic knife with a curved blade. Our unique design draws on a range of artistic influences from Arabic culture.
Our Gilded, Silver mounted Jambiya with a polished finish was presented to His Holiness Pope Francis at a meeting at the Vatican in 2016 by Bhai Sahib, Bhai Mohinder Singh Ahluwalia KSG, OBE, of Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha, Birmingham, UK.
The blade on this example is made from wootz, the scabbard is ash, bound in calfskin.
The fittings are Gilded 999 Fine Silver.
Other examples of our Jambiya include a larger sized dagger also in Fine Silver with a bright finish.
Every item we produce is handmade and unique, even our Limited Editions.
The blades are usually made from 80CrV2 High carbon Spring steel, the scabbard of the polished version is Ash, bound in Calfskin and on the blackened version, it is Imbuya bound in Calfskin.
The fittings of both daggers are 999 Fine Silver.
