This sculpture of a Tornado GR4 is cast in steel which has been smelted from decommissioned Tornado Mauser cannons.
Each Tornado sculpture is engraved with its unique Serial Number on top of the tail and is mounted on a titanium blade from a RB-199 jet engine. All loaded jets include a pair of detachable Storm Shadow cruise missiles.
This ‘Clean’ jet is number 251 and is one of only 2 jets produced with a Matt WCC black finish.
Tungsten Carbon Carbide is an advanced coating with high scratch and corrosion resistance. It is a high grade industrial coating used by luxury jewellery and watch makers.
