In collaboration with the exceptionally talented artist and Gemmell mega fan, Simon Cook, we are producing a limited edition of Druss the Legend lost-wax cast in bronze.
Druss is 1:12 scale, standing at approximately 6″ tall. The sculpture has a two-tone darkened and highlighted finish that accentuates every intricate detail. The powerful stance of Druss and the meticulous rendition of Snaga have been crafted to perfection. A numbered limited edition of 99.
I first met Druss in 1985 when I was lent the novel Legend by my best friend at school. I found I could barely put the book down and I stayed up all night to finish reading it – this was the first time any book had captured my attention so thoroughly – and I enjoyed it so much that I started reading it again the next evening. I have read it many times since.
David Gemmell’s novels are part of the reason I became a swordsmith and it is a privilege to have known David and to have worked with him to create Snaga the sender, the Axe of Druss.
Druss wields Snaga in the novels: Legend, The First Chronicles of Druss the Legend, The Legend of Deathwalker, White Wolf and The Swords of Night and Day.
