This wall mounted sculpture is a one-third size of the human skull in the gas mask. The colours were chosen as a deliberate echo of the classic foam sweets of childhood, ‘shrimps’ and ‘bananas’. With a nod to Warhol, who once said: ‘all I ever really want is sugar’, it is a fusion of the whimsical and the self-destructive.
