I have been forging Scimitars for thirty five years and have made many different designs. This Wolf Scimitar shortsword has a 23 1/4” blade, hand ground from 80CrV2 hardened and tempered to 54-56RC. The overall length is 31 1/2″. The guard and pommel are lost wax cast in 316 stainless steel. The blade has a deep hollow grind. The pommel is sculpted with a pair of wolves. The ash grip is bound in a rich chestnut brown calf skin decorated with twisted fine silver wire.
If you place an order for this style of scimitar you should allow around 12 months for completion.
The point of balance is 1″ (2.5cm) from the guard.
